Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made shells that are applied to the front-facing surface of the affected teeth. Depending on the patient’s needs, the veneers can be applied on one, several or all teeth. This is a permanent procedure that can last up to 15 years. Composite resin veneers offer many of the same restorative benefits as porcelain veneers, including the concealment of cracks, chips, gaps, and discoloration but at a lower cost. The veneers are prepared onsite and directly applied on the tooth with either minimal tooth preparation or no tooth preparation at all - preserving your natural tooth structure while also delivering natural-looking results. Composite veneers offer a hassle-free smile rejuvenation as the entirety of the procedure can be completed start to finish in a single appointment. As composite resin veneers are more delicate when compared to traditional porcelain veneers, we will suggest composite resin veneers when the alterations that need to be made are minimal like chipping.
Zirconia veneers are stronger than traditional porcelain veneers and offer a compromised tooth some structural reinforcement. They are often ideal for patients who have teeth that are more severely damaged or decayed. At Just Dental, we commonly use zirconia veneers for molar teeth, as the added strength of the material can prevent premature wear. In addition, due to the material’s extreme durability, zirconia can be used in a variety of dental restorations including crowns and implants.
Emax Veneers are well-known for their durability and stabilising effects as they are crafted from high strength porcelain. The treatment does not require tooth etching or drilling, preserving your natural tooth structure. Furthermore, minimal preparation time necessary so patients receive their veneers faster. Due to their distinctive features, they are ideal for full crown restorations for teeth that are damaged or broken. Their translucent appearance gives them the ability to provide a more natural appearance similar to teeth.
